Transfer to Taormina. The rest of the day at leisure.
The Greek Theatre of Taormina. In the morning we drive up to the highest and most active volcano in Europe: Mt Etna.
On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful and incredible landscape, rich with vegetation of varied colours.
As soon as we reach the Etna Refuge at 1900 meters, you will have time for trekking, and you can also walk all around the "Silvestri Mountains", two famous extinct craters.
Break for lunch.
During the afternoon, we will drive to Taormina "the pearl of Sicily", where you will visit the Greek-Roman theatre; time for shopping.
Later back to the Hotel (Taormina).
Departure to Piazza Armerina, where you will see at our suggestion the most important and amazing quantity of Roman mosaic floors from the 3rd century AD.
Proceeding on to Agrigento for lunch (optional).
Visit to the Valley of the Temples: Hera, Concordia, Heracles, and Zeus temples are the most famous Greek remains of Sicily.
Ovenight in Agrigento.
Martorana Church in Palermo. After breakfast, we will drive to the city of Palermo where you will visit the Cathedral and the Martorana Church, as well as taking a panoramic tour of the historic centre, before driving on to Monreale.
Here, visit at our suggestion the Cathedral and the Benedectine Cloister.
Afterwards, lunch-time at leisure, or the possibility of an optional tour to the Catacombs, Mount Pellegrino (the sacred mountain of Palermo) and the village of Mondello.
