New Travel Services offers a tour / transfer lasting one day, leaving from Taormina or Catania, to the discovery of the southern coast, in the direction of Ragusa and its Baroque, and the Valley of Temples in Agrigento with final destination Palermo, the capital of Sicily.
A car will pick you up at your hotel, and we will depart for Ragusa. In Ragusa per our driver suggestion will take a walking tour of the old part, "Ragusa Ibla", destroyed by the earthquake of January 1693 and rebuilt after the 17th century, situated in the upper part of this magnificent town and known as one of the most beautiful towns in Sicily thanks to its historical buildings, the beautiful views and its small, typical streets.
Here, you will visit on foot first the Hyblei Public Gardens, an English garden in the heart of Sicily, and then the local monuments, such the main church, which is dedicated to St. George.
Churches and mountain landscapes embrace the look, and tell the story of an ancient Sicily.
With an additional fee, not included in the package, you can stop at one of the characteristical restaurants of the area, to taste the excellent local meats and cheeses.
We will then drive you along the Mediterranean Sea to the beautiful and old valley of temples of Agrigento.
The reflection of the blue sea, accompanies our journey to one of the most spectacular Sicilian landscape. As we proceed to the Valley of the Temples, our drivers will explain what you could see at this beautiful site. Once we have reached our destination, you can use the services of the local guides to visit, for an extra fee, the Valley of the Temples, the Temple of Juno, Concord and Hercules built during the fifth century BC and declared World Heritage by UNESCO, a trip that will take you to a past full of mysteries and charme.
At the end of our tour, comfortably sitting in our vehicles, surrounded by a bucolic landscape, we will take the road that from Agrigento in two hours will take us to Palermo, capital of Sicily, where at the end of this intense but fascinating day our staff will lead you up to your hotel.
