Our adventure begins in the charming town of Taormina, renowned for its breathtaking views and rich history.

Upon arrival, we will provide recommendations to make the most of your free time as you stroll through its lively streets. Discover Corso Umberto, the main shopping street lined with elegant boutiques, artisan shops, and cozy cafés. Wander through the picturesque alleyways that lead to hidden corners full of Sicilian charm.

One of the highlights of Taormina is the Greek Theatre, an ancient amphitheater offering a spectacular panorama of Mount Etna and the Ionian coast.

You will also have time to visit other cultural landmarks such as Palazzo Corvaja, the stunning Piazza IX Aprile, and the historic Duomo di San Nicola.

Castelmola, a panoramic gem above Taormina

Leaving Taormina, we will ascend to Castelmola, a medieval village perched high above the coastline. Before reaching the town, we will stop at Madonna della Rocca, a small yet captivating church carved into the rock, offering a breathtaking view of Taormina, the Greek Theatre, and the ancient 13th-century Arab castle that dominates the skyline.

In Castelmola, you will be enchanted by its winding streets, vibrant piazzas, and the spectacular views of Mount Etna and the sea. A must-visit is the legendary Bar Turrisi, famous for its unique decor and its specialty, almond wine—a sweet Sicilian liqueur with a distinctive and delightful taste.

In the afternoon, we descend towards Giardini Naxos, where the first Greek settlers arrived in Sicily in 735 BC.

This seaside town combines the charm of a traditional fishing village with the appeal of a vibrant resort destination. A scenic drive along the coastline will allow you to admire the crystal-clear waters, golden beaches, and the picturesque harbor.

A key stop on our tour is the Archaeological Museum, located near a small Bourbon fortress. The museum displays a collection of artifacts from the ancient Greek colony of Naxos, providing insight into the early history of Sicily.

The ground floor houses pottery and objects that reveal the presence of settlements from Neolithic times through the Bronze Age, long before the Greek colonization.

After the museum visit, you will have time to relax by the sea, savor fresh seafood at a local trattoria, or simply enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this historic town.
